Mr. Harsha Wijayawardhane COO – Theekshana and Dr. Randil Pushpananda – Senior Lecturer – UCSC participated in the Sanhinda TV Program on the 11th of March 2019 in order to publicize the recently inaugurated Local Language Technical Help Center.
The Local Language Help Center was launched today at the University of Colombo. The launch was organized by Theekshana, through which the Center will operate.
The objective of this venture is to address issues which users may still encounter when using Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in Sinhala and Tamil.
Theekshana currently in developing of a fully functional Mobile Application for both Android and iOS smart phones for Department of Man Power and Employment as part of there e-PES Web Application.

Harsha Wijayawardhana is the Co-Chair of the Generation Panel for the Sinhala script. He has more than 25 years of experience in information and communications technology (ICT) and has been involved in UNICODE Sinhala research for more than 10 years. He is currently the Chief Operating Officer of Theekshana, a company at the University of Colombo School of Computing in Sri Lanka.
Theekshana had signed a contract agreement with Sri Lanka Police for the maintenance of the Automated Fingerprint Identification System from 2018 – 2022.
